Former Notre Dame RB Greg Bryant commits to UAB

Former Notre Dame running back Greg Bryant announced via Instagram that he has committed to UAB.

Bryant, who would have been a redshirt sophomore for the Irish this season, was ruled academically ineligible before fall camp. He also was facing a four-game suspension for a violation of team rules.

Bryant left Notre Dame and enrolled at ASA College in Miami, a junior college. He’s only played in one game this season, rushing nine times for 77 yards.

Bryant was a five-star recruit from American Heritage School in Delray Beach, Fla. He was ranked the No. 3 running back in the 2013 class. He played in three games for the Irish is 2013 before taking a medical redshirt because of knee tendinitis.

Overall, Bryant played in 15 games for Notre Dame. He had 57 carries for 303 yards and three touchdowns and caught five passes for 50 yards.
